Vitamin C can help kill harmful microbes, including bacteria and viruses such as the common cold and pneumonia.

Vitamin C also increases the production of vital immune cells, including white blood cells and phagocytes, which are cells that kill bacteria by absorbing them.

Studies show that taking high doses of vitamin C – 6 to 8 g per day – can shorten the duration of hemorrhoids.

Taking vitamin C after a cold can also make symptoms less severe.

Adults should aim to get between 65 and 90 mg of vitamin C per day.

However, they should not take more than 2,000 mg per day.

This is because vitamin D increases the number of macrophages or immune cells that help kill disease cells.

In addition, vitamin D can also help balance the immune system by reducing the production of chemicals called inflammatory cytokines.

3. Vitamin E

Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that helps the body fight infection. Antioxidants themselves have been known to protect against free radicals.

Free radicals can increase the risk of heart disease, cancer, and other diseases. For that, the intake of vitamin E is important for the body.
