Scooter Braun ‘secretly checks into intense psycho-spiritual retreat’

Scooter Braun reportedly went into a ‘spiritual retreat’ months before he allegedly separated from his wife Yael Cohen.

The music mogul, 40, joined the seven-day Hoffman Process program in LA last October, reports Page Six, before ending his seven-year marriage to a South African mining heir, 34.

According to its website, the £3,500 Hoffman Process ‘is a seven-day residential course that helps you discover who you really are, freeing you to make conscious choices that will improve your relationships with those around you.’

Problem? Scooter Braun reportedly went on a ‘spiritual retreat’ in the months before he allegedly ‘separated’ from his wife Yael Cohen; they were pictured last month at Dave’s season two premiere in LA

Talking about why he’s taking the retreat on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast, he said: ‘My wife and I started hearing all kinds of rumours, like'[Scooter] gone mad.’

‘But that’s not it. It feels like I’m not present in my life, and [feeling] like the people around me who love me, I feel their heartache.

‘Because, one, we all come with our own traumas, and strangely our traumas match, and… I can’t fix it. And I’m a problem solver. Ever since I was a kid, I was the one who would make it okay for everyone. And I can’t fix the current situation.’

He continued: ‘A very dark thought popped into my head — ‘I’m not enough;’ the last ‘I shouldn’t be here.’ I immediately thought – what are you doing here? And I never go that dark. And I signed up for Project Hoffman the next day.’

Later on the podcast, Braun said that he had made plans to go to the Napa facility four times in the past and canceled each time, but he explained why he ultimately decided to go.

‘You know what happened? My wife Yael, and my children,’ he said. ‘I learned that I love someone more than I do, and loving them makes me do the job.’

A representative for Scooter was contacted by MailOnline for comment.

The Hoffman process is popular with celebrities such as Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato all attending the course.
