A moderate magnitude 4.7 earthquake has just been reported 73 km west of Bandar Lampung, Indonesia

The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency reported a magnitude 4.7 earthquake in Indonesia near Bandar Lampung, Lampung, just 10 minutes ago. The earthquake occurred in the morning on Thursday 1 July 2021 at 08:50 local time at a shallow depth of 10 km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake may be revised in the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review the data and refine their calculations, or when other agencies issue their reports.
A second report was later issued by the Center for European-Mediterranean Seismology (EMSC), which listed it as a magnitude 4.7 earthquake as well.
Based on preliminary seismic data, the quake should have caused no significant damage, but may be felt by many as a light tremor in the epicenter area.
Weak tremors may be felt at Bandar Lampung (pop. 800,300) which is 73 km from the epicenter, and Kotabumi (pop. 42,400) which is 83 km away.
