The 4.2 magnitude earthquake occurred just 14 minutes ago 71 km west of Bandar Lampung, Indonesia, the Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency reported.
The earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 10 km below the epicenter near Bandar Lampung, Lampung, Indonesia, on the evening of Thursday 1 July 2021 at 20:40 local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake may be revised in the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review the data and refine their calculations, or when other agencies issue their reports.
A second report was later issued by the Center for European-Mediterranean Seismology (EMSC), which listed it as a magnitude 4.2 earthquake as well.
