With the release of the first trailer Spider-Man: No Way Home some time ago, the fans are not getting calmer, but more and more curious about what will be presented in the film later. It was revealed that the film will take on a multiverse theme with many villains, including villains from previous Spider-Man franchises such as Doc Ock, Electro, Green Goblin, and others. Although Doctor Strange’s presence was known beforehand, many fans felt strange about Doctor Strange’s presence in the film Spider-Man: No Way Home.
In the movie Spider-Man: No Way Home, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) will face the problems previously caused by Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) at the end of the film. Spider-Man: Far From Home, where now the whole world knows the secret identity of Spider-Man. When Peter is confused by the problem he is facing, he decides to ask his co-worker in the Avengers, Doctor Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch. And Strange then offers Peter a solution using forbidden magic, which Wong (Wong) had previously warned about. Why is that?
When warned by Wong, Strange agrees but gives Peter a sneaky wink, indicating that he will continue to use forbidden magic. At this point, Strange wasn’t his usual self, trusting Wong and calculating. It’s possible that she’s doing this because she knows Peter, but is that reason enough? Given the risk of using this forbidden magic to cause trouble in the multiverse, it’s possible the villain disguised himself as Strange and deliberately used forbidden magic. This villain is Mephisto.
Despite his high threat level, many fans have compared Mephisto’s signature wine-drinking style to Strange’s first appearance in the trailer. No Way Home who was holding a glass by the fire. Mephisto is a Marvel demon making his comic debut Silver surfer #3 by Stan Lee in 1968. In Marvel Comics, Mephisto has had several deals and battles with Doctor Strange. In comics Hero Reborn Jason Aaron #7 which was released last June even Mephisto created a fake reality, and the concept is almost the same as the multiverse shown in No Way Home, namely a reality that is not like the real world.
The question is, if it is true that Strange who uses forbidden magic to help Peter is Mephisto in disguise, then where is the real Doctor Strange? It is possible that Strange previously fought against Mephisto and he was somehow defeated by Mephisto. Then Mephisto locks Strange in his hell, which he usually uses to frighten his enemies. Until finally the original Doctor Strange was able to get out of Mephisto hell and help Peter Parker solve the multiverse problem he was facing.
The villain Mephisto has been discussed quite a bit by MCU theorists, and all of them have never been proven. Was it time for Mephisto to show up? Given the large scale of films like No Way Home will have a huge impact on the future of the MCU, so Mephisto’s appearance in this film makes a lot of sense. This crazy theory will only be proven when the film releases, and fans are eagerly waiting for answers to Doctor Strange’s weirdness in the trailer. No Way Home. We’ll prove it in the film Spider-Man: No Way Home in theaters on December 17, 2021.
